Dinosaurs are alive and well at the box office as Universal’s “Jurassic World Rebirth” trampled competitors, grossing $147 million domestically over five days of the Fourth of July weekend.

Dinosaurs are ruling the box office again. “Jurassic World Rebirth,” the seventh installment in Universal’s long-running prehistoric series, stomped to $147.3 million over its first five days in 4,308 North American theaters.

In second place on the charts and holding decently against “Jurassic World: Rebirth” is Warner Bros./Apple’s “F1” with $26 million in its second weekend for a 54% drop from its $57 million domestic opening.
