Chief Justice John Roberts brought the drama Friday as he ascended the courtroom bench to declare — at long last — President Donald Trump’s tariffs unlawful.

Trump had made tariffs the bedrock of his economic pitch to voters going into the midterm elections, even describing tariffs as his "favourite word in the dictionary".

Trump criticized the justices and also expressed renewed concern about Iran, saying a military strike is possible.
