Jaylen Brown gathered with Celtics teammates, friends, and family to celebrate the official proclamation of “Jaylen Brown Day.”

Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown isn't new to the league anymore. He understands how it works, and he understands how the NBA media does, too.

In the “Starting 5” docuseries, Joe Mazzulla gave a wild and unexpected response when asked if he could beat Jaylen Brown in a fight.

“So Monday to Thursday I would play alone, but on Friday when I wanted to hang out with my friends, I would play street soccer. A lot of my first fights were on the soccer field, so I guess that kind of started my love for soccer. It started growing up in a Spanish community,” Brown added.

"To have Thibs here at our practice and explaining some of the things that he saw to help them beat us only helps ... us get better," said Brown.

The Netflix crew documented the 2024-25 season journey of five NBA superstars. They received some luck from their star-studded cast. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had one of the greatest seasons as he brought home an MVP award, an NBA Finals MVP award and a championship ring.
