IN a surprising turn of events at Rally Estonia, Oliver Solberg, son of rally legend Petter Solberg, achieved a remarkable maiden victory in his debut aboard a Toyota GR Yaris Rally1.

Solberg led the rally from stage two onwards, where he claimed his maiden top flight WRC stage win. The son of 2003 world rally champion Petter Solberg racked up nine stage wins during the weekend, before bursting into tears when he met his father after crossing the finish line.

Oliver Solberg claimed his first FIA World Rally Championship victory at Rally Estonia after a stunning one-off drive with Toyota’s factory Rally1 team.
