Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has had to address the attitude of Alexander Isak after the club embarked on their pre-season tour without him as he readies to return to training

Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe wants to see Alexander Isak back in training on Tuesday after his two week absence for from the squad. Isak has been training alone in Spain at his old club Real Sociedad but is wanted back on Tyneside by Howe.

Isak did not travel with Newcastle’s squad for their pre-season tour of Asia, which finished with a 1-1 draw with Tottenham, after Harvey Barnes cancelled out Brennan Johnson’s early opener
