It was a wild week in the top 25 as seemingly everyine in the top 10 dropped at least one game. Michigan, Hosuton, Iowa State, UConn, Purdue, and Illinois were all top 10 teams that lost at least once last week, but most of those losses were to other top 10 teams. That means mostly a shake up rather than anyone dropping.
Two of the coaches who are doing it as well as anyone right now are Scheyer and Michigan’s Dusty May, who faced off in Washington D.C. for the rare nonconference, mid-February spectacle that conveniently turned into a battle for No. 1.

Vanderbilt basketball remained ranked in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll but moved down three spots to No. 21 after losing to Missouri and Tennessee. The Commodores fell to No. 25 in the AP poll. The Commodores lost, 81-80, at Missouri on Feb. 18 and then 69-65 to Tennessee at Memorial Gymnasium on Feb. 21.
The season turned for Tennessee after the Florida game. Since then, the Vols have won nine of their last 11 games with two losses to Kentucky. They're on a four-game win streak that includes victories over Mississippi State, LSU, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt.
In terms of the rankings as a whole, Alabama was the biggest riser (eight spots, No. 17), while Kansas (No. 14) and Vanderbilt (No. 25) had the steepest falls by losing six places.
Alabama also surged in the new poll. The Crimson Tide are up 8 spots, all the way to No. 17 after wins over Arkansas and LSU. Arkansas, meanwhile, stays put at No. 20. Tennessee also remained at No. 22. Vanderbilt fell 6 spots all the way to No. 25.
Saturday is a jam-packed day with the NCAA selection committee revealing its current top 16 seeds then No. 2 Houston vs. No. 4 Arizona and No. 1 Michigan vs. No. 3 Duke facing off.
The University of Louisiana, where Lamar starred during his college career, announced his death in a release. Bo Lamar played for the Ragin’ Cajuns from 1969-73. He scored 3,493 points in his career and is a member of the school’s hall of fame.
