Students, teachers and staff in the Boston Public Schools community are reeling after a child was hit and killed by a school bus on Monday afternoon.

A child was struck and killed by a school bus in Hyde Park on Monday afternoon, Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox said.

A child was struck and killed by a school bus in Boston's Hyde Park neighborhood on Monday afternoon. Police said the boy was hit by the Boston Public School bus at about 2:42 p.m. in the area of 107 Washington Street.
