Israel's army chief Eyal Zamir said on Sunday the military had issued orders to call up tens of thousands of reservists to enhance and expand the operation in Gaza.

Israel's security cabinet approved the expansion of military operations in Gaza including the "conquest" of the Palestinian territory, an official said Monday, after the army called up tens of thousands of reservists for the offensive.

Sudan’s army said its opponents used drones to strike a military airbase and other locations in Port Sudan, the first apparent attacks of that kind on the Red Sea city in the two-year civil war.

It is the first time RSF attacks have reached the city, which is the de-facto capital of the army-led government.
