Anduril and Meta plan to build VR/AR extended reality headsets for the military as part of the the contract that Anduril took over from Microsoft.

Meta Platforms Inc. is partnering with defense contractor Anduril Industries Inc. to develop new products for the US military, including an artificial intelligence-powered helmet with virtual and augmented reality features.

Meta (META) is moving beyond social media platforms and AR headsets and into the military-industrial complex. The company on Thursday announced it’s teaming up with Palmer Luckey’s Anduril (ANIN.PVT) to produce extended reality products for soldiers.
