Legendary U.S. gymnast Simone Biles has apologized for making personal comments toward former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines as they publicly disagreed about transgender women in sports.

"I believe sports organizations have a responsibility to come up with rules supporting inclusion while maintaining fair competition," Biles said in a post on X.
