Prom Queen fails to channel both the outrageous aesthetics and the brutal violence of the films it’s imitating, making this indifferently made exercise in YA horror supremely skippable.

Prom Queen will play well with those who expect to enjoy these films and will continue to show up for Netflix's slasher franchise.
